Hello, I’m Sonul Badiani-Hamment, a proud Liberal Democrat, an experienced campaigner and candidate, and mum of two wonderful boys, standing to be your
next MP for Farnham and Bordon.

​​​I’ve dedicated my career to making a difference - from
leading a national and global charity and working with
the United Nations, to helping shape laws that protect
animals, people and our planet.
With a law degree from Cambridge and a postgrad
specialism in human rights and civil liberties, I’ve
spent years standing up for fairness, compassion and
community - values that lie at the heart of what I believe
politics should be.
I’ve led teams, raised millions for good causes, and helped shape and lead national and global campaigns, but what matters most to me is making a real difference here, in Farnham and Bordon. I want our community to have great schools, a strong NHS, affordable homes, and a safe, thriving environment for our children to grow up in.

I've also stood for our party before in 2019 in Ealing, when Greg Stafford was the Leader of the Opposition in the Council and Ealing’s GLA candidate. I achieved a top 6 national swing from the Conservatives to the Lib Dems and more than tripled our party's vote share, which lead to multiple councillor wins, including Greg’s old seat.
I absolutely loved standing for us and working with the local party, and I am ready to put my full energy and time into it again, this time for Farnham and Bordon.

The next election is going to be tough, but we have a real opportunity here to beat the Conservatives and elect a strong Liberal Democrat MP to represent Farnham and Bordon.

Politics should be about people, compassion, and community — values I live by every day. I will run a rigorous, inspiring, positive and inclusive campaign that will help restore faith in politics and politicians and bring voters and new members over to our party so that we can win.
